The Storyteller

I have always valued a good story. Whether written, told to me, or shared through media, I have enjoyed the storytelling experience since I could remember. Participating in this art form has been a dream come true. What I know about Storytelling; A storyteller is a good listener and a watcher with an eye for details. An impactful Storyteller is patient with the process and must have a good sense of timing. Character, skill, and organisation are very important in this art form. Just knowing these is commendable, but practice in hard work is the only way to better this craft.

I will continue to create stories, in the hope that one day, I will have bettered my craft enough to capture my audience's soul and hold their hearts in my palms.

A portfolio in multiple mediums

As an enthusiast of stories, I have found that stories transverse mediums, moving from poems/songs to books, from films to the stage, and so on. Ideally, a story seems unlimited, it breathes where it wills. Being a Multimedia Storyteller, I am afforded a few luxuries, I could pick and choose which medium a story fits best. Budget, time, and the scope of the story are key factors that drive the choice of the medium.

I am able to practice in text, still photographs, video, audio, and graphics. Some say I am multi-talented, but I believe I gave years to learning and put in the time and hard work to learn the skills required. This is the part that most people do not see; years of studying Computer Skills, Photoshop, Project Management, English Language and Literature, and Film Studies. I have also spent time learning Interior Design for set design, Design for Digital Design, Traditional & Digital Drawing, and Languages and Cultures across Africa & Asia. Talent may be there, but hard work, resilience, and sacrifice have been a larger part of the journey.

On this digital portfolio, you shall find an array of things; Audio, Audio-Visual and Literary work under the brand names Sandra Nekh. You shall also find academic writing under my official name Faithsandra Nekhonga Masibo. All products are within elements of media; Film, Photography and Literary work.
