A picture tells a thousand words...

To cultivate this digital portfolio, I've always been surrounded by a dedicated team who supported me through some of my toughest seasons over the years. Here are some cherished memories we've created together along the way.

We recently held our 20-Film-Portfolio screening, and it was an incredible feeling knowing that it all began with a single idea. I am truly grateful for this opportunity and am glad that we can inspire and teach future generations of filmmakers through our learning curve films.
I had the pleasure of delving into monochrome photography during a Great Gatsby-themed soirée hosted by esteemed Kenyan writer, Muthoni Maina on 10th Feb 2024. We had to have this shot, my amazing friend Wangari Mburu, you know it!
The ladies of Read Between the Wines (IG @rbtw_ke) read Ophelia and invited me to spend a day with them, 6th Jan 2024 will forever remain etched in my heart. Wangari Mburu and the ladies at rbtw_ke, thank you for this memory.
2023 was an amazing year for me and my books as I secured my first bookstore partnership with Nuriabookstore. Bulle and his team are amazing, and they always have a way of putting a smile on your face every time you visit. He supports Kenyan writers impartially, making him an amazing gentleman and an inspiring entrepreneur. Also, Ophelia was no. 50 on Nuria top 100! Yeah!!!
I finally had my first premier (2nd July 2023), it was a small event, some may say exclusive, and I got to dress up and faced my audience. A very memorable experience. I remember sneaking in and sitting at the front next to the screen and peeping at the audience, I was laughing so hard, and crying, it was hilarious. Best experience ever.
For the film premiere, our partner Gloria Owichira (Actress and entrepreneur) hooked us up with these amazing frames, her brand Events.Backdrops (IG @event.backdrops) came through royally, to add that film vibe. Loved These! Thanks girl!
My mentor Jackee Chang is the coolest human I have ever met. She taught me most of what I know concerning Film in a practical 4-day master class in 2015. She still reviews my work to date and is never afraid to criticize my work. The only way to grow is to know what's off about your work.
Anne Labadie is a Writer, Musician, Producer, and Animator from France. We worked together on Spirit, for the 20-Film-Portfolio. She introduced me to the ethereal sounds of the Hand pan / UFO.
The 20-Film-Portfolio team, Nawapenda sana.
This is Joe, one of our first trainees and a member of the 20-Film-Portfolio team. He has been with us since the beginning, 2017.
Makeup on the ground with Bhakita Nyambura, remember that name.... woman is going places.

Props!!! The tools of the trade, took me a day and a half to make this parasol for That Other Voice.  My sister loved it so much.
CC learning to ride a bicycle after shooting our final scene for That Other Voice.
My Family walking with me, a day out chasing nature pictures at the Nairobi Nature walk.
I know a musician by the name Kissa. You should know her too.
After a long day of work, good food heals all tire.
A beautiful event titled Mama Christmas happens every year at Paa ya Paa, a gallery in Ridgways. Check it out! Shooting with photographer Ashleigh Kuria.
The day I got my first printed book. :-)
The colour! The power! The woman!
Making a thriller is not easy, this project cost me a lens; I have two scratches on my lens courtesy of the POV of this shot right here. The film, Man Gitu 2020, it is Part of the 20-Film_Portfolio. I will never forget that moment, I almost died!
The cast for Man Gitu was too cool for school. HOT!
My nephew and NO.1 Fan Castiel is one of my best actors, hands down. He really dedicated himself to every role.  Winnie Mwai is a designer and performer, we were so lucky to have her on this set. One of the most memorable people I have interacted with for sure. She will make my Oscar dress.
I remember getting the package with the first reprints of Amir in 2022, memories of 2018 when I first printed Amir, it was perfectly flawed. My printed book. This is what it's about, seeing your work come to life.
Ida and Frank were a traveling team from Spain (Melon Productions) shooting a documentary Kenyan Eyes. I was lucky to do PA work and Second Camera. I was also a Fixer for the team. There is no small role in Film.
Job, Ida, and I at L. Nakuru National park, documenting the rising water level. Job is one of the most humble people I know, he always has our transport solutions. He is an amazing part of the Nekhta group.
Nature and the camera are a beautiful combination. A day out in the forest is important for a creator.
This is CC, one of the most amazing young actors I know. She acted in my first Film in 2017, at the age of 8. She is part of the 20-Film-Portfolio.
CC and Tiel, my first attempt at using a green screen, I loved it!
Kissa's day at the park, photography mentorship with yours truly.
My attempt at editing my floating self. Understanding how layers work is an essential part of editing. Props to the photographer, Christine.
